Frequently asked

What can I upload?

PDFs, PowerPoint slides and Word documents. Tap Upload in the app and pick files from your iPhone, iPad or iCloud Drive. Each upload shows its progress stage by stage, so you can follow along while Posie reads it.

What if I upload the same lecture twice?

Posie recognises a file it already has and points you to the existing copy, without processing it again. If a new document repeats material you have already added, only the new parts are processed, and your existing topics and progress are kept.

How accurate are the questions?

Every question is written from your own documents and checked against the source, and you can open the original page from any answer. AI can still make mistakes, so anything Posie is unsure about goes to your review queue, and you can flag a question at any time.

What is the AI allowance?

Every account comes with an AI allowance. It covers reading your documents into topics and questions, and grading written answers. Posie shows you the cost before it processes a document and only charges for what processing actually uses, so nothing is spent without you agreeing to it. If your allowance runs out, new uploads and written-answer grading pause until your plan renews or you buy more, and everything you have already built keeps working. You can buy more whenever you like from Tokens & plan in the app.

Can I use Posie to teach a class?

Yes. Choose Creator when you first sign in, build a course from your own materials, then share its join code or invite a whole group. Every student studies the same course with their own progress, and anything you add later reaches all of them.

Do my students need to upload anything?

No. Students choose Learner, join with your code or accept your invite, and start studying. They can become creators later from Settings if they want to build courses of their own.

How does sharing a test work?

Build a test on a shared course and share it with a group or a connection. Each person who accepts gets their own copy with the same scope, question mix and difficulty. Questions are drawn for each person, so scores compare fairly without everyone seeing identical questions. Comparing results is opt-in: only people who share their score see other people's.

Who can see my progress?

Only you. If you study a shared course, its creator sees class totals and averages, and only when at least five learners contribute. Your name appears only if you choose to share it for that course. See the Privacy Policy.

What happens if a student leaves a course?

Leaving a course, or being removed from it, permanently deletes that person's progress on it. The app always asks before this happens.

Can I study offline?

Yes. Download a course in the app and drill it anywhere. Your answers sync the next time you are online.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open Settings and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your documents, generated material and progress straight away.

How do I report someone?

Open their profile or group in the app and choose Report. You can also block them. We review every report within 24 hours.
